I have officially become exhausted from searching forums and scholarly literature for an answer. Hopefully some of you can provide your anecdotal evidence and shed light on my situation. Just to let everyone know a little about my background, I grew up modeling and acting and loved it, however moved on when I started to become engulfed in sports. After high school and the demise of my athletic career I needed some form of competition to keep me going. Weightlifting was the answer, the ultimate competition with oneself. As the years went by and I saw desirable gains from hard work and some lucky genetics I have been looking to get back into modeling, in this case fitness. I have one big problem, I have a hard time getting a substantial tan and as a pre-med student I have developed a strict view against the use of tanning beds for extended amounts of time. This is where Melanotan came into my life. I believe I originally saw a video on it and then read quite a few scholarly journal articles from the original studies. After a year or so of reviewing the literature and talking to a ton of people I am at the point where I think it would be a great benefit health wise, as I am out in the sun a lot during the summer and goal wise with fitness modeling. My biggest concern is the hyperpigmentation, especially on the face(e.g., Lentigines, freckles, and moles). I have come to the understanding that this is basically a guarantee that you will develop some of these. Whether they are ones you already have increasing in pigmentation and now becoming visible, or new ones created, that is irrelevant. If you don't see them before and you see them now, that is grounds enough for them to be considered new in my book. But anyway, my question is for those of you who have used melanotan-1, the only version of the synthetic melanocyte-stimulating hormone id use, have you all developed hyperpigmentation in the form of "black dots" on your face. Also for those of you who have used both, has there been a substantial difference in melanotan II vs MI in terms of "freckling/moles." Also, what was the end result up cessation of use, did they disappear entirely or back to their original state(if so how long did it take), or did they remain prominent. I know a lot of these questions are partially answered in other forum posts, but I think it is important to really hone in on this one issue and discuss it. Also, pictures are MORE than welcome and are encouraged. Thanks to all those who take the time to respond.
P.S. Maybe I'll get my first Scott response

, always seems to have some solid answers.
P.S.S. I am completely aware of the necessity of UV in order to achieve a tan using melanotan and would be completely supportive of using tanning beds to do so. The obvious goal though is to minimize the need for UV exposure while maximizing the tan. Basically using enough to tan, which would be significantly less than me tanning naturally which would take at least 4 times a week for a couple months.
