What I don't consider an apperance improvement:

- darker facial hair/stubble; makes me wonder if my face is dirty, more often

- lower colour contrast between my lips and face...
I appreciate that my lips don't feel as hot in the sun though
I think I normally have reduced lip-face contrast when I tan naturally, anyways  Roll Eyes

If I could tweak how melanotan II affects me,
I'd like to have my hair colour unaffected.

I wonder if the hair on my head will still lighten with long sun exposures.  Huh

I think my ears are still lighter than my face.
Better than black ears and a light face though.  Tongue

I don't think anyone would say you're too dark naturally.

As for the heat perception thing, I don't think melanotan is really a factor haha. It's perfectly normal to feel a bit cold at 20C, the high UV shouldn't change that much. Take for example the fact can get quite sunburnt on a sunny/high UV day at the snow despite freezing temperatures.

Good to see you're happy with the results! If you don't want to get much darker I'd suggest seriously cutting back.

The only time I could pass for a light-skinned caucasian is in Canadian winter.
Basically, the weather has to be very-wrong for me to look that way, or I'd need to use SPF 30 religiously.\

Actually, I often try tanning in somewhat-cold weather, to maintain sun-tolerance.
Usually my skin starts to warm in the sun after 5 minutes of exposure
and feels much warmer after 10 minutes.
I suppose this is the effect of very mild UV burning or irritation.
With my Moroccan tan, I was feeling about the same after 10 minutes as I did the first minute with my shirt off.
I've felt much warmer after 10 minutes of sun on a windy 16 C (61 F) afternoon 2 months ago
than I did a few days ago at 20 C (68 F), cloudless, a UV of 7 instead of 4 and less wind.
That's what I meant.

The funniest thing is I'm not even done my first 10mg vial,
I've never exceeded 0.33mg daily dose
never used a solarium, just natural West-Oz sunlight...
and thanks to work, with less time in the sun than I'd prefer too!  Tongue
I'm probably getting 1/2 my ideal solar exposure per week.

Thanks for the reply paradiso. Smiley

About everything in that post?
 Cheesy

By "light-skinned caucasian" I mean the kind of skin tone characteristic of people who have always lived in England.
I can look like a native British Islander if I'm very careful to avoid strong sunlight for many, many months in a row.
Basically to look like them, the weather has to be terrible, I have to be indoors way too often and wear too much sunscreen.
My skin tone would often resemble that from maybe late December through late February back in Canada, when I stayed in a lot too.

On melanotan II,
even if I act sun-phobic,
sticking to the shade,
wearing SPF 30 (without constant re-application)
I will still darken slowly and subtley on my exposed face and hands.

I'm now getting LAUGHED AT for having a "blue-face,"

thanks to thick SPF30 with zinc matted into my dense facial stubble,
to keep my face from going crazy brown.  Tongue
Maybe I should just let myself become a black-man instead.  Grin
My lips still darken a bit with SPF 30 lip balm and melanotan II,
so lighter sunscreen is probably almost useless for blending my skin tone while tanning.

Here's how I look now,
going 5 days off melanotan II,
sun avoidance
and heavy sunscreen use.

Rockin' the "Smurf Tan"   Roll Eyes  Grin

(dark people wearing strong sunscreen always look like Smurfs to me  :p)

My forehead is darker probably because I wore a hat, and it probably rubbed off a bit into the hat.
My skin is probably just as dark as my forehead underneath this thick blue gunk.

We really need a picture taken outdoors in natural sunlight to judge how dark you are.  Indoor pictures without enough light can make anyone look much darker than they really are.

here is how I looked day 21,
before the *magic of week 3.*

My hands are lighter looking than they really were because of zinc cream.
I might not have had zinc cream on my face, but SPF 30 clear lip balm.
I think my hands were probably slightly darker than my neck, if not the same. (without the zinc)

I would say this tone looks like I'm about the same race as before,
just having more of the same natural colour, or denser colour of the same kind.
Probably was just starting to have my facial hair darken at that point;
was checking it more to see if it was dirty, lol.

How does my face look to you in this picture.?  Huh

Lol.

Someone asked for a pic of me in natural sunlight.
it's just the angle that makes my chin wash into my neck. Wink

Which one? I'm quite a bit darker in the first photos.  Grin
The photo on this page is maybe 10 days older.

Currently, I think I might be a touch darker than the photo on the second page.
