I asked why and she explained that she had a client who had used Melanotan and after just two session had come out as dark as an Indian person.
She then asked how much I was taking and was relieved to hear 1mg per day, saying her client had taken the FULL 10mg in one day.
Interesting. One of the enduring mysteries about melanotan II is the optimal dose. It has been clearly demonstrated that low doses, in the range or 0.3 to 0.5 mg/day, can produce extremely dark tans over time. The unanswered question is, can much larger doses produce even darker tans much more quickly?
I have tended to believe that there is a limit on how much the body use at one time and that taking more is just wasting money because the body cannot absorb it all. But the story above suggests the opposite. Of course, the solarium owner may not have the story straight.
I take a dose of 0.5 mg about 4 to 6 times a week, and it has given me a very dark tan. I just saw a photo of myself with about 20 other people on a bike ride. My tan was very clearly the darkest. In fact, it was not even close. My tan stood out separately as distinctly darker than anyone else's.
This proves that for me at least, low doses over time are extremely effective. I have never tried larger doses, so I don't know what the effect would be. It's tempting to try, although I might start to look strange for a blue-eyed blond.
