Hi! I am a 30 yr. old female, 125 lbs, skin type II. I am pretty pale, with lots of freckles. I used to go to tanning beds for most of my life up until last year when I started noticing small wrinkles on my chest. My freckles were darker when I was a child, but now have lightened up a lot as I got older. When I have makeup on, they aren't even noticeable on my face, only on my arms and shoulders, and sprinkled here and there on my legs. Whenever I go in the sun, or a tanning booth, of course they get darker. After I stopped the tanning beds, I have only been doing spray tans in the Versa Spa spray booth. I tried airbrush tans a few times as well, but they started to get really expensive, since I was going every week, and the results weren't really much better than the booth I found. I double layer my spray tan, on the highest level (#3) to get the darkest color possible. I hate being pale! I spray tan about once per week (twice in one session). I started Melanotan II after I ran into a friend who I hadn't seen in a couple months. When I saw her the first thing I noticed was her AMAZING tan! She is about the same age/weight as me. I complimented her on her color, and she informed me that she had been doing tanning injections, so I asked her to send me the info. She's a red head with freckles, and her skin was nice and golden brown. She told me she had been doing the injections for about 3 weeks at that point, and going in a tanning bed about once per week for a short time. She was telling me how impressed she was with the color she was getting and how she had received so many complements. Like myself, she hated being pale, and experimented with different products, so I trusted her judgement. She did warn me that she had new freckles from the injections, and her moles had gotten a lot darker, and she also had some new ones. At this point, I didn't mind any of that, if my skin would be tan like hers. She looked great! I started injecting Melanotan II last Thursday, 7/7 once per day, so I've been on this for SEVEN DAYS now. Tonight will be injection #8. I made my puchase through europatan.eu which is actually based in the US I think. The company/website seemed a little strange, but that is where my friend purchased hers, and it worked, so I went with it. I ordered 5 bottles of Melanotan II (50 mg total, 10mg per bottle), along with some syringes, sterile water, and alcohol wipes. The package came super fast- in just a couple days, even though I just purchased the standard shipping. So that was great! It was in a USPS Priority envelope, and there were not any instructions inside, and the bottles were unlabled. It looked sketchy, but I just looked on the website to find out how to mix the peptide, and googled around on other websites and on this forum to find out how much people were injecting, how to inject, when, where, etc. The melanotan comes in tiny glass bottles, and in a solid powder form (looks like a small cylindar sugar cube), that disolves immediately as soon as the water hits it. SO I BEGAN... I mixed my first bottle (10 mg) of Melanotan II with (1 ml) of the sterile water. I injected 0.6mg (3 dash marks/lines on my syringe). This is a very small amount, right above halfway to the number 10 on the syringe (the 10 on the syringe is 1.0mg from what I understand). I've attached a pic of what the syringes I am using look like to give you an idea. My injection site was below my belly button, to the right side. I wiped the area with alcohol, pinched the skin, then pushed the needle in. Once the needle breaks the skin, it goes in very smoothly and painlessly. After the needle is in all the way, I then push down on the top of the syringe to inject the liquid- slowly. I leave the needle in about 5 seconds after, then pull it out really quick. I keep my skin pinched in that area the entire time, but I'm not sure if you really need to, but it works for me. After I remove the needle, I wipe the injection site with alcohol again and rub the area. I'm not a fan of needles at all, and have never injected myself in my life, but the self injections turned out to not be so bad after all. Painless! I didn't get any bleeding or anything. It sometimes stings a little bit, and red for a couple minutes, but that's it. I've injected every day for the last 7 days, at night around 10-11pm. I've never injected in the same exact spot twice, and always switch sides and areas. Here is my log: Day #1- 0.6mg, below belly button right side Day #2- 0.6mg, below belly button, left side Day #3- 0.6mg, below belly button, right side Day #4- 0.6mg, below belly button, left side Day #5- 0.6mg, below belly button, right side Day #6- 0.8mg; right leg, top of inner thigh Day #7- 0.8mg; left leg, top of inner thigh I have always injected right before I go to bed, except for on day #3 I had to inject that afternoon, since I was going to be out of town for the night and wouldn't be able to do it before bed. WHAT I NOTICED: I was out in the sun for about an hour on Day #3, without sunscreen, in 100 degree weather. When I woke up on Day #4 I noticed that I had a few new dark freckles on my face, and the moles I already have on my face and arms were definitely darker. Yesterday, on Day #7 I noticed that the large birth mark I have on the side of my neck, near by my ear (which looks like a darker large freckle), is definitely not as noticable anymore. It blends in with the rest of my skin tone, which it never has before. There are definitely more moles sprinkled on my back and some more freckles here and there on my arms and stomach. The new freckles on my face are dark brown, and definitely noticeable, but with makeup on, you can't really tell- I just know they're there. I'm really shocked to be seeing all these changes on the first week. Most of these logs say that people don't notice anything until the 2nd week, which is supposed to be the "freak out week" where people notice a lot of new freckles (if any come at all), and that's when most people will stop using the product all together because it bothers them. I'm willing to continue using it to see how things turn out. Supposedly, the freckles will be less apparent after the rest of your skin begins to darken, so that is what I am hoping for. I'll just be thrilled if I can get a golden tan like my friends! SIDE EFFECTS: I have not had any real noticable side effects, other then maybe feeling slightly dizzy or light headed the first couple injections. Then again, this could all be in my mind, since I did read all about the side effects that could occur, so I was trying to be aware if there were any. I never felt nauseous or sick. I do feel a stinging sensation sometimes when I inject, but I think that is normal, since the liquid is so cold from the fridge. STORAGE: For now, I have all of the bottles stored in my fridge, but after I reach the color I'm happy with, I will most likely freeze the bottles I won't need to use for a while. If you have any questions, please let me know, but I'll continue to post updates as I go. I'll most likely continue to inject 0.8mg (4th line, right below the 10 mark on the syringe. The 10 is at the 5th line), unless I suddenly start getting some sort of crazy side effects. Let's hope not!
