I just ordered 5 vials of melanotan II. Expecting them Friday. I have never used melanotan before.
I am not afraid of needles, I just want to experiment with the nasal spray to see if it will do anything for me.
A little background on my tanning abilities:
I am a high 2/low 3 skin type.
I am capable of achieving a tan, but only in a tanning bed. In the sun I pretty much just burn unless I am very strict about regulating my exposure, and then it will take me about 3 months to tan. In a tanning bed I get fairly dark, but my husband is black, so I still look like a ghost next to him

I decided to try the nasal spray because I saw that everyone else on here that gave it a try was a type 1 or a low 2 at best. I know it did not work for them, but the German guy that tried it was a 3 and it worked well for him.
My goal is to be able to tan in the sun instead of having to go to a salon to tan. I live in a very hot climate where it is sunny almost year round so if the nasal spray works for me I won't ever have to purchase a tanning package again!
I am going to devote 3 vials of melanotan to trying the nasal spray, and if I don't see any results then I will use the last 2 via injection.
Below is a "before" picture of me. I do have a slight tan in the picture because I have been in a tanning bed about 5 times.

WELL, I'M ABOUT 40MG INTO THE NASAL SPRAY AND HAVE HAD GOOD RESULTS...
NO NEED FOR TANNING BED ANYMORE. I JUST LAY OUT IN THE SUN. EVERYONE IS COMMENTING ON HOW DARK I AM, AND I DON'T BURN ANYMORE. GOING TO POST PICS SOON. THE ONLY THING IS MY LEGS HAVE NOT CAUGHT UP YET. MY ARMS AND CHEST ARE THE DARKEST WHICH MAKES ME HAPPY, BECAUSE WITHOUT MELANOTAN MY ARMS WOULD JUST STAY PALE, AND MY CHEST WOULD ALWAYS STAY PINK, NO MATTER HOW TAN THE REST OF MY BODY GOT.
AFTER MY FIRST DOSE MY FRECKLES STARTED GETTING DARKER AND I GOT SEVERAL NEW ONES ON MY FACE AND STOMACH. MY BIGGEST CONCERN WITH THE INJECTIONS WAS THAT FRECKLES AND MOLES WOULD APPEAR TOO FAST...WITH THE NASAL SPRAY THEY HAVE COME ON GRADUALLY JUST LIKE THEY WOULD WITH SUN EXPOSURE.
SO, THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT I AM HAPPY WITH THE NASAL SPRAY, GOING TO KEEP GOING WITH IT. GOING TO FLORIDA IN ABOUT A MONTH...IF MY LEGS DON'T START TO CATCH UP IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS I PROBABLY WILL DO SOME INJECTIONS JUST TO HELP THEM ALONG.

Sorry Scott, I wasn't yelling. My husband does his billing on the computer, and he uses all caps. I was already 2/3 of my way through the post when I realized that I was in all caps. I really didn't think anyone was paying attention to my post so I didn't think much of it.

I don't plan on really keeping a log of my usage because I am already way darker than I have ever been. I'm now just in maintenance, and probably will only use it for another couple of weeks. We are going on vacation to Florida in 7 days and I will post some pics of how dark I am.

And Sunshinebunny, I would only recommend the nasal spray if you are someone that can get some kind of tan on your own. I always would get a golden color every summer, but this summer I am brown. I have seen on these forums that people with a 1 or low 2 skin type that cannot tan at all do not see any results from the nasal spray, but get great results from the injections.

If you click on the link above the photo it will open it smaller.
For some reason I look more red in the picture than I actually am. And the first picture was taken inside while the after picture was taken outside in more natural light.
I do not think that either picture does me justice. In the before picture I look more tan than I am, and in the after picture I don't look as brown as I actually am. I am going to try a different camera and post another picture.

Glad to hear of the great results ej710! We have very similar skin types, I'm a type 2/3 that can tan if taken very very slowly but can burn quickly if I'm not careful. A few years ago I tried injections with great results, almost too good! The color came on really fast after my loading phase and didn't stop for a while until I was extremely dark except for my legs. I haven't heard many good things about the nasal spray so I haven't given it much consideration until reading your post. Can you give details about your use? I'm not at all familiar with the nasal spray so the basics like what type of bottle you used and of course how much would help me decide if I want to try it. Last time 50mg lasted me 2 summers or a total of about 8 months of twice weekly injections and around 12 months of maintaining some color. I'm curious to know how much you use in comparison.

Sorry, it's been a while since I've been on this site. I had great results from the nasal spray, however it did take quite a lot of it. I believe it took about 5 bottles to achieve the results that I wanted. I started to see results about 20mg in (2 bottles). I don't know the exact amounts I was using per day. I just mixed it same way you do with injections and did one snort in the morning, and one in the evening at first. I felt that this method was possibly a waste, so what I began doing was only snorting in right before sun exposure. I can't say that there is any true evidence to that being the best method, but I feel it did work for me. I would snort once up each nostril about 5 minutes prior to tanning session and I would have to say that I began to notice that I could tan for much longer without burning. The pictures I posted do not do my tan justice. Like I have stated, I am able to tan without melanotan II, but I definitely achieved a much darker and much quicker tan with it. My family could not believe how tan I was already at the beginning of the summer, and WITHOUT BURNING!!!!! Usually it takes me the entire summer to get any kind of tan, and that is after suffering a few minor burns. Also, I was able to actually tan in the regular old sun, whereas before I could only achieve a tan from tanning beds. So even though the melanotan II was a little more expensive because I had to use probably 3 times more than I would have if I injected it, I still end up saving money overall because I don't have to buy tanning bed packages. Sunshine is free! I would have to say that my tan lasted longer also. Probably because I was able to tan in the sun so I could continue to tan all summer even without using the melanotan II. I stopped using it after 5 bottles, approx. 8 weeks of usage. But was still tan 2 months later. I plan on starting melanotan II again in a couple of weeks. Before, I just mixed it with regular Walgreen's brand nasal spray, but I have read on here that sea salt sprays work best, so I think I'm going to give that a try this time. I will post more once I start again. I will post more pics this time, and have a much better camera now, so maybe I can get better before and afters. Thanks everyone!

What is your daily dose administered and what is it reconstituted with? If it is less than 1mg daily and reconstituted with sterile water I would be concerned with the peptide degrading even in refrigeration.

I've read plenty of articles saying people don't think the nasal spray works at all. However I have not tried it so who knows. The shots are not bad at all. Its all in your head.

Yeah, I recently switched to injections. The nasal spray does work for me, but I have very short period of time to tan because we are about to go on vacation. And I'm short on money and didn't want to have to order any more, so I'm going to use my last vial to inject. My husband injects for me, and I don't even know when he's done it because it hurts less than a mosquito bite. The only thing about the injections is that my side effects are really bad! I get really really woozy, to the point that I almost fainted and I threw up twice! And I got seriously flushed skin. I did a .5 dose for my first injection. Could that be too much? I figured that was a pretty standard dose to start out with. When I did the nasal spray my only side effect was skin flushing.

When I tried it, it seemed like it was building up my sinus pressure over the week that I was using it. I ended up getting a stomach flu so I stopped and haven't restarted.

Yes, the metallic taste was the worst!!! I really really got sick tho from my first couple of injections. I am now 6 injections in, and don't have any more side effects. I started out having my husband inject me because I didn't think I could do it myself, but the last 3 shots I have given myself. It really is super easy. Especially in the stomach. I was always afraid to have a shot in my stomach, but surprisingly that is the only place that I don't feel a thing. The nasal spray does work, but I am only 2.8mg in with the injections and I'm already as tan as I was after 30mg of the nasal spray!!! This is going to save me so much $$$ Grin
