Hey guys. I'm setting this log up for this year's experiment with melanotan-1. I've used melanotan II the last couple of years and got some great results, particularly last year.

It's been about 6 months since I took any melanotan II or got any sun but I'm still a lot darker than my natural colour. I will post a picture to show soon.
 
I've ordered 50mg of melanotan-1 from uslabresearch and it has been dispatched so should be here any day. My plan is to take 1mg a day over the next few months to gradually build up ready for the summer. Might start with a few days of 0.5mg just in case of side effects etc.

Well it's nowhere near as impressive as the colour on that thread but this is where i'm starting from. So hopefull with the melanotan-1 and once i start getting some UV it should be all good.
 
Interesting to see if my colour is any different with melanotan-1. I felt with the melanotan II that it was slightly orange and a bit unnatural, though people only said good things about it really.

Yeah, I'll do 0.5mg for the first few injections then plan to keep it a a low 1mg a day everyday until summertime. So I should be around 90-100mg in by the time we're getting some decent sun.

Ok well you should know that it generally takes quite a bit more melanotan-1 to have the same level of effect as melanotan II. In this 2003 clinical trial the dosing was at 0.16 mg/Kg/day. This would typically be spread across a number of injections per day. I'm not sure what your weight is but I would recommend that you calculate what your dosage would have been had you participated in that trial and use that figure as a landmark.

All righty, just know that the 0.16 mg/Kg/day dosage was set for folks who were supposed to be avoiding UV exposure. With very limited UV exposure I would venture to guess that such a level of dosing wouldn't be necessary.
 
Still it is good to have a scientific/medical landmark to go by.

Last year I had 1-2mg of melanotan-1 per day and this was conducted over 2-4 injections depending on my situation on the day. It took a while for the tan to come through, say 4-6 weeks, so a lot slower than melanotan II, but when I did tan, I personally found it to be a better looking tan, more browner, less orange and I did not notice any massive change in moles as I had on melanotan II. And of course there were far less bad side effects such as nausea, dehydration. In my opinion, having used both peptides, melanotan-1 is far better, despite the need for patience and a higher cost. I wish I'd never used melanotan II now and only stook to melanotan-1.

"Treatments (0.16 mg/kg/day or placebo) were injected subcutaneously in the abdomen each day for 5 consecutive days a week times 2 weeks. Each subject's body weight was determined at check-in and the same weight used for all dose calculations for the first 10 days of treatment. This cycle of treatment was repeated at days 29–40 and 57–68 resulting in a total of 30 daily bolus injections"
 
This is pretty interesting in that it appears that each subject was given one massive dose of melanotan-1/per day. So I guess that after a few half lives there would still be a pretty good serum level on board. i.e a continuous basal level for at least a few hours each day. Maybe this is even more effective (though obviously more costly) than multiple small boluses each day..
 
I'm currently using 15mg of melanotan-1 each day in 6 divided doses. Been doing this for a few weeks in preparation for a trip..

I am an extremely slow and stubborn responder to both of the peptides. I am not in any way endorsing or recommending what I do as far as dosage is concerned..
 
So far only a few very pale freckles and very slight darkening of my one mole. I am very slowly exposing myself to measured UV light
