Questions for Scott
02/03/09 at 20:30:44

Hi Scott - How do you know? Have you tried MelanoBronze for yourself?

To be honest, I'm annoyed with your most of your posts. And I think others would agree.

When people boast about their great results with Melanotan, you accuse them of not being honest and not posting any negative results they may have had.

When people blame Melanotan for bad side effects they're having as a result of it, you tell them it very well might NOT be the Melanotan and they should get checked out for other things.

When people discuss tanning methods outside of Melanotan, you put it down.

I just don't understand what your role is in this forum.  You're constantly playing devil's advocate and you offer no added value from what I can see.  You are not a physician, you don't work for Clinuvel and you are not a seller.

I think I understand your response majik and my previous post above here was not meant as a "putdown" but rather a bit of counsel that if folks don't set their sights too high and achieve some results (perhaps not spectacular) they'll be less disappointed. By the same token if folks experience really good results they'll be even happier.
I suppose I didn't word that clearly enough in my prior post.

Scott,

Lately (for the past month or two) it seems like you're interjecting at just about every single post.  It is always something negative, or with a "suspicious" tone, or nothing of any substance -- just more questions and doubt.  Is there any reason in particular to your much-increased presence here?  And what is your motivation behind being a moderator?

And yes,  you were putting down MelanoBronze.  Have you EVER tried it?  Have you seen even one before and after photo?  I sure have not.  There are no photos on this forum and nothing on the internet from what my 60 minutes of searching have discovered.  If you know something we don't about MelanoBronze, please, do tell us.

Since the BBC's Nov. 17, 2008 report I have decided to be a bit more vigilant in the forums in large part to discourage casual users from embarking on a melanotan peptide regimen. There are very serious risks to using unlicensed drugs not the least of which is the relative unknown nature of a given unlicensed drug itself.  If you review my posts you will see that yes I haven't been "mr. positive" with folks portraying a casual aire in the forums.

As far as my motivation is concerned I will share a little bit of history about Melanotan.org. Back in June 1999 I saw a CNN News report talking about the possibility of a new type of "Viagra" alternative on the horizon. I was instantly curious about this new Viagra type drug and decided that I wanted to learn about it and share what I learned with others. I started Melanotan.org the same day as the broadcast and within roughly 24 hours I had a site up where I made available as much information and links about melanotan II as I could find and I also published my e-mail address to allow people who might be seeking further information to contact me directly. Well a short time later I started to respond to these letters like so:

Thanks for you letter.
I believe your best source of information on melanotan-1 is:
http://www.sunless.com/

They have a frequenty asked questions page that discusses Melanotan....as
well you could write to the webmaster there for further info....

Thanks,

-Scott

Pretty soon I started to get dozens of letters weekly from folks wanting more information. It became a bit too much especially after there would be news reports about melanotan peptide developments in various parts of the U.S. / World.
So I carried on like this for about 4 and 1/2 years doing my best to give folks information via e-mail and keep Melanotan.org updated. Frequently folks would be wanting to know where they could buy the peptides and how to use them.
As the years went by the inquiries became more and more numerous and I just couldn't keep up so I decided to start this forum to allow folks to share information they would find with others and thereby relieve some of the demand for information that I was being inundated with.
Here's one of the first letters I sent out to folks on my Melanotan peptide e-mail list announcing the eminent arrival of the forum:

Greetings,

Thank you for writing! Just to let you know the site is about to undergo
an update with some more information about sources and a little bit of
information about dosing however the biggest addition will be a discussion
area for folks like yourself who are doing their own experimentation.
Please stay tuned!

Thanks!

Well now it's nearly 10 years that the site has been in existence and over 5 years that the forum has been going and really nothing has changed. I'm still here helping to spread knowledge about the melanotan peptides and still directing people to where they can find additional information about them.

Over the years I've found that it is better to approach just about any story with skepticism first and learn about it properly before definitively subscribing to it or not.

Oh by the way, here's Brad asking the same question in the forum and me responding to him, why even soulFinger's on that ancient thread. Wink

Judging by what you are saying that probably is your first post.  Smiley
I hadn't recalled that you were a heavy duty sunbed user previously, soulFinger. Wink

well, i wouldn't say "heavy duty" but about a year before finding out about melanotan-1 i would go every now and then to "enhance" my natural skin tone.
melanotan sure sounded like the answer back then, cause i never really liked going to the booths.

soulFinger is in and out of the forums here so I'll respond in the meantime. I can tell you that he reported that his taking melanotan II made his skin look old and wrinkly. I found out later that he was a pretty heavy duty smoker and I conjectured that perhaps melanotan II might have accentuated previous smoking related skin damage he already had.
