Please note: Melanotan.org does not and has never profited from sales of the melanotan peptides or the supplies needed to use them either directly or indirectly. While it is true that a buying and selling forum previously existed in the discussion areas this was created to limit sales offers from constantly appearing in normal discussion areas (as they did prior to that section's existence). With the exception of a rather limited participation in this new donation system by a small number of sellers and entirely free usage of the buying and selling forum (no longer exists), Melanotan peptide suppliers operate and have always operated completely independently from Melanotan.org.

Greetings fellow forum users,
 
    For those of you less familiar with Melanotan.org, this site has been in operation since June of 1999 with the mission of helping to spread accurate, helpful information about the melanotan peptides. Starting in 2004 this free forum was added to allow people to openly share information about the Melanotan peptides with each other. Thanks to the long hours (really years of time) of help from the members of the moderator team and helpful forum members the forum has become the number one online destination for general melanotan peptide information. Over the years (especially the last year or so) there have been a few bumps in the road. As many forum members may realize the melanotan peptides are becoming more and more known in the world. As a result the Melanotan.org forums are becoming quite popular. In fact they are becoming so popular that with over 5,000 registered members we've outgrown the level of service that the forums were previously hosted on (the forum had already been shut down more than once by the former service providers for taxing their servers too much). Up to this point the costs of hosting this site have been born out of pocket by myself since it's inception (over 9 years now an accumulated total of several thousand dollars).  I've been ok with this as things have been over the years but now that the hosting demands for the forum have increased the time has come that it will need to start to pay for itself. What the forums needed (and now have) is to be hosted on a dedicated server. After doing research and having established that in order for the site to be properly hosted with a good quality dedicated hosting service at the level it currently needs to operate (and to have some room for expansion) the site will need at minimum $260.00 a month. This will allow the site to continue to be hosted on it's new and current New York based dedicated server with Rimuhosting (http://rimuhosting.com/) at an entry level plan ($160/month) plus allow for two additional possibilities (with the remaining $100): 1. Provide a small expense fund that would allow Melanotan.org to be able to hire software developers and content contributors from time to time to improve the site's functionalities and professionally expand it's library of information and 2. Provide for the future hosting expansion and forum software upgrade needs for the site and its forums.  
 
Also, to fund this new server I had to pay upfront $400 out of pocket for setup charges and the initial first month of service which will need to be recovered.
 
So how can Melanotan.org meet these funding requirements?
 
The two primary possibilities that have been looked at are to start advertising on the site and/or to begin to accept donations (in particular monthly recurring type donations). As the primary operator of the site (and in consultation with the other members of the moderator team) I would rather not have advertisements on the site so that it can completely remain focused on discussions relative to the peptides. So in line with that we've decided to try and fund the site solely through donations starting with a trial period of 2 months. To make this simple we'll accept donations via PayPal.
 
There are two ways that folks can help support the Melanotan community and contribute via PayPal to keep the site/forums running smoothly.
 
The first is through a recurring month to month donation (cancelable at any time) via one of the recurring donation buttons below:

If just 52 individuals contributed $5 / month the total amount generated per month would be $260 (less Paypal fees).  
If just 26 individuals contributed $10 / month the total amount would be the same.
If just 13 individuals contriubted $20 / month the total amount would be the same.

I just want to thank all the moderators and scott for supporting this site and keeping this alive for all of us.  Since I be a member since 2005 and started using melanotan my life changes quit dramaticly,  I,ve been on places  where before I didn,t want to go knowing that I needed to kept my shirt on. After that I started to distribute melanotan II  & melanotan II for whole EU ,  I must have been one of the first in EU , Hundreds of happy fooks sended me photos since I deliverd the peptide for some years now.  
 
I hope I my donation will distribute to healthy forum where we  continue to share our facts , ideas and most important results.

if this funding thing takes off do you think it would be a good idea to use something similar to regulate whats being supplied to people? i.e testing for purity of the peptides?

For my excuse!
I have tried to donate once before but coulden't get my transaction through. With that being said I would like to give a little advice.
 
In another forum in wich I  spend quite some time nowadays, is also founded through donations.  
They have made it little different though. They have simply a lifetime supporter donation that from my observation most people undertake most immediately. That cost 30USD which is a very low amount. But with the many people contributing it most certainly brings alot of money to the site.  
If this site just could be able to have 20% of it's 5000 memebers to do a one time donation of 30USD would bring in quite a bit  
What I want to say is that I THINK it's would be a better idea not to give people a chance to compare their generousity
