Scott,
Generally, I'm happy with the results. I've had no unpleasant side effects after the initial start up, and those were minor (flushed face, stomach feeling very nervous like a bad case of butterflies, lack of appetite) and lasted only the first few days.
I am taking .1mg per day, and once in a while I'll take .1 in the morning and .1mg again in the evening for several days. If I 'load up' I'll get that gray-ish look again, and the faint circles around the eyes gets darker and uneven. The circles around my eyes act like a barometer of sorts; if I 'load up', the circles quickly get darker and uneven; if I skip it for a week or so, the circles will even out and fade to a natural look. Generally .1mg per day works the best to avoid looking unevenly gray and sickly.
I spend 10 minutes per week in the tanning bed. Since I've never had the ability to tan I'm experimenting with which combination of dose and time produces the best effect. I'm not sure if there is any benefit to minor changes at all. If there is a difference, its pretty small in my case. I've read where some people aren't seeing satisfactory results until later around 100mgs, so I'm thinking I might be one of those who takes longer to get completely "filled out". I'm not one of those that can rush it without looking sickly; this stuff needs it's own sweet time to do its own thing and spread out evenly.
My face colored up immediately, and then my forearms - the areas that had previous sun exposure the most often. It has taken longer for the legs to catch up, and only now are the feet beginning to look like they belong with the rest of me. I had a pale stripe down my back for a long time that has finally started to fill in, almost like it moved from my shoulders down and inward toward the center, and finally met in the middle. My lower back has yet to catch up completely.
The melanotan II is just now barely working its way across the top of my feet. In areas where there is thicker skin, like across the knuckles of my fingers, there is a slightly darker effect, which occurred fairly soon, around 20mgs. The toe knuckles are just showing just the slightest color.
It's been kind of weird watching different areas respond in their own ways, but overall, I look pretty darn good!
I am sooo looking forward to summer! Spring is in the air, and I'm going to be able to wear shorts for the first time in years!
