That is interesting about the make-up. Is it the foundation that you use when you had a sunless tan? I don't have a foundation that matches my non-tanned skin tone.

That is too funny...that's sad that a company can give such false hope   America I swear! We'll do anything for money. K, well about the freckles: I do NOT tan my face at all. Even with the melanotan-1 I have not done the sunbed on my face...it is just darkening naturally. I have worked hard at getting rid of those freckles! The really horribly dark ones are on my arms and back...they are sooo bad. I will try to get a pic for you soon, promise! I tanned again yesterday and burned but I am getting pretty dark so it is cool. Keep ya posted!

Did you have faint freckles on your arms, shoulders, back, etc. prior to Melanotan?
 
I have light freckles on my face, arms, and shoulders (basically all the places I got really burnt as a child), but I only have a few scattered ones on the rest of my body as well as a few small moles here and there. I'm just wondering if the reason you think your freckles are so bad is because you're not used to them. For me, I'm expecting to get freckles because I have them naturally. I just don't want to be un-naturally freckled... if that makes sense lol.

Just wonder: freckles and moles taken into consideration, do you regret it?
If you knew before hand how "bad" it would get, would u stil lgo through with it?

Sunless:  You are so right.  Tanning lotions and sprays SUCK.  They smell horrible and come off when you sweat or go swimming.  I was never able to wear sandals before melanotan II because the color on my feet was always uneven. The few times I did wear sandals I got made fun of really badly.  Last summer was my first summer on melanotan II and I wore nothing BUT sandals.  I HATE wearing sneakers now!  You look great  

Sunless Princess...I lost track of how many mg's you are currently in to melanotan-1? You started by in early Feb. correct?  I am starting melanotan-1 for the first time today(melanotan II last year) and hope to be tan by early May.  Thanks.

I wonder, could it that since us tarted off slow, this didn't cause freckles, then when you "overdosed" the pigment spots started popping up?

Hey Sunless, you look great!  Even if you don't try to tan your face, it gets UV from just being outside.  With melanotan-1 the little bits of UV do add up!  

Yes I was actually going to post that...I just found out that the second batch was melanotan II and I only did 10mg of it when I realized because I started having major numbness in my legs and I hated it. I actually started getting dark and freckling at 60mg of melanotan-1. I already had a dark tan with melanotan-1 and the melanotan II pushed it a little farther. I am sticking with melanotan-1 though. My legs still aren't getting much color though and the freckles are horrible...

I now am going to say that NO it is not worth it. I hate that I am writing this but I am so sad.
Ok, there has been much discussion about how melanotan causes skin to thicken up to 300%. Now, most would think this would be good BUT if you look up any site on UV exposure it talks about the negative side effects of sun damage being: sun spots, thickening and dehydration of the skin. This all has happened to me. Sooo, I am torn. If this product is enabling us to tan despite really going in the sun it is "tricking" our body into thinking it is protecting itself from the sun, hence making you tan. It is causing all the related damage as if you were in the sun. If you look at the leathery, wrinkly skin of avid tanners you will see what I mean. Now, I have been loading for 2 months now, about 100mg in and have watched my skin drastically age. I pray it is reversible with TCA peels but as of right now I am very heartbroken. I was so happy to have found something that helps me tan...now...it just ages you. Thicker skin would be nice if it were not so wrinkly. I am going to get some peels and see where I am but right now...I look 40 and I am only 27. This may be why the FDA did not approve it...it does cause some pretty bad cosmetic side effects. I hope to load 0.5 every week to maintain but I may just stop all together which is sad because I am now spoiled with the tan. Very sad.
