I am type 1 Blue eyes Blond hair freckles, I go pink and my skin peels off after I have been in the sun. I have never had a tan. My reason for visiting this forum was to find out where to obtain Melanotan and instructions for dosage. Then I started reading this post.
Based on what I have read (lack of sleep confusion etc I believe sunless has a thyroid condition , My mother had Cancer of the thyroid and exhibited much the same symptoms and it took a long time to work out what the problem was. This has been very educational good luck every one.
I think it could be a number of things. The biggest side affect of Melanotan is Fatigue, which could trigger a number of things if the right enviroment is setup. Meaning, clearly depression (poor self image) was the main symptom she was describing, but the ultimate cause could be a number of things. Clearly she was not "ruined", however, as her pictures were quite beautiful...
Also, for anyone who reads the above, the Melanotan peptide does not "scar" the skin as the user described. It is well known now, however, that MSH (or like peptides) will stimulates increased epidermis thickness which can give the appearance of "leathery" skin and/or aged skin/wrinkles. This is part of the normal tanning process I might add. This is not a side effect, so to speak, but rather an evolutionary mechanism to help with UV penetration.
For users who wish to prevent these effects, the use of Retin-A and short term megadosing of Vitamin C (1,000mg+) should limit most to all of the of the side effects. Please keep in mind, however, that this strategy will also limit one's ability for sun exposure as well and will makes one's skin much more sensitive, so if you utilize this method please be very careful.
