Ok here we go. I am a 38 yr old female. I have never had a tan that didn't come from a tube. I am 125lbs 5'4. I do have some freckling, but not a lot. I live in sunny FL, but try to stay out of the sun as much as I can. I ALWAYS have self tanner on. I was teased sooooooo much as a kid. Have always hated my skin. Got all the comments everyone else got. I would stay in the sun when I was younger and just fry thinking red was better than white. My dad had a melanoma when I was younger and just passed a few months ago with lung cancer which his derm told me could have been the result of untreated skin cancer. So you can see, beside of the cosmetic reasons, I am trying this for my health too. I would also love to be able to swim with my kids without coming out more pale than when I got in.  I have noticed that since moving here (or it could just be age) my self tanner seems to be grabbing to more slightly  raised moles than I used to have. Anyway I will be starting when my order arrives. Very nervous and hopeful at the same time.  I also will be going to the derm for the big skin cancer check this month. Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. One problem I don't have any before pics because I am never without self tanner. I'll see what I can come up with. Sorry to go on but I am trying to get all the important info out there I can think of. Thanks to all!

I can relate too! Try and take one right after you get out of the shower before applying sunless tanner. It won't be perfect, but it will help. Also, areas like my stomach and back I usually didn't have tanner and they are a good barometer also.  

Ok so today was the day. I am such a dunce when it comes to math that I hope I measures right. Somebody pls tell me if this was wrong. I am about 125lbs, I injected 300 units of bac water to mix and injected 30 units from the syringe into my stomach. Does that sound right? I don't know if I'll even notice sides because I was so nervous I had most of them before I started. Shaking, nauseous headache. I guess I am a little high strung. So anywho I guess I'll see how it goes.  Still have the sunless tanner on. I plan to scrub it off at about 10mgs in, take a picture and try some moderate sun. I will try to post pics after that. I will report later if there are any new developements. Wish me luck!!!

Not really what I what planning, but I've lived to tell about it. I think I'll cut it down tonight and then think about injecting twice a day. What do you think? By the way thank you for all the info, you're great!!

Alright. I am on day 6. So far so good. I am injecting .5 mg twice a day. Usually late morning and at bedtime. Can't really see a change in my skin. My calves are kinda crampy, hope that goes away soon. I usually take a Phenergan b4. This as an antihistimine that is also used for nausea. Seems to work not having much nausea. I do seem to have a little anxiety, but that could be more mental than from the melanotan II. I am still using sunless tanner w/spf 15. I live near the beach so I am out alot, and I am still doing what I always have. I will spent 30 mins or so in the sun then run for cover. Was at the beach yesterday in mostly cloudy skies, no change.  Still trying to get b4 photos. Hopefully soon.....ttfn

I havent been around here for awhile, so I'm just now reading your thread. I saw many simiarities between us, even the same name, so I wanted to say hi and tell you to hang in there. Any day now you'll be seeing results. I think I had about 7mg's in me when I started noticing a mild difference. Then suddenly, the change took off. Its really hard to hurry up and wait, but it will come. Good luck!

No I didnt use the sunless tanners while loading. It was March when I started, and I live in Missouri, so no one around here had a tan either. I used them for the past couple of summers though, and I hated them! I could never get it to look even. This stuff is WAY much better! BTW, it has darkened my red hair considerably. It now looks as though my hair is dyed red, and my dark roots are natural. I really loved my red hair. Oh well, I guess I gotta take the good with the bad.

Sherry, you mentioned your skin was like mine and it does appear so with the pics. I would try 1mg once a day if you can tolerate it. Then try a little sun after a couple days and see what happens but keep loading at 1mgs.  Looking back on my log I did .70mgs on day 11 and 12, then started at 1mgs on day 13 and stayed on that until day 28 then increased again. I got my first sun on day 14 or 15 I believe. Keep us posted .
