I experienced a strong form of anaphylaxis (a shock) after taking melanotan II during my last cycle. I had taken over 100 mg of melanotan II without much trouble, before getting this reaction. I got it after taking 7 or 8 days off from the regular injections dyring the cycle. The reaction had all the classic signs of anaphylaxis, and I had to go to the hospital. The blood tests showed an elevated level of IgE.

The only variable that changed was that my melanotan had been in the freezer for a while.

I've never had an allergic reaction in my life, so I would be very careful about melanotan II usage....

How long was it in the freezer? Would be interesting to have this particular vial checked for any impurities.

Yeah, I would too.  Who has the $5,000 to pay for the analysis?   Grin

logbetan, i know what ur saying bro but trust me they werent there before hand 4000000000000% sure of that. and ive been to derms and its hypopigmentation for sure. ive been searching for a cure for these spots for about 2 years now and i am currently trying a couple of things if indeed they work i will report back 2 those with these spots good luck.

I have these also. I know its from the melanotan II because I have always been way too white to be anything but white. I have some on my forearms and had a very big white spot on my pelvis.

I look back and it was so silly to start taking something that I knew nothing about, just because some on a forum thought it would be a good idea.

My skin looks different and is thick all along my forhead and under my eyes. I really hope this all goes back to normal with time, as well as ugly moles I have getting lighter or going away.

Sauce, do you have some pictures of the major afflictions you are reporting.  It would be beneficial to share such images for others to see, relate too or give suggestions on.

So if melanotan-1 is so much safer (less side effects) why does everyone choose to use melanotan II?

Well I have answered this myself - everyone would rather put price over health I assume.....not to offend, just my assumption.??

1. melanotan-1 is too expensive. you need much more mg in your body for the tan effect. read this thread here:
http://melanotan.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1229728387

2. You can't be sure that if you will buy melanotan-1 you will get melanotan-1. There were some users on the fourm who actully got melanotan II and not melanotan-1 (they got sexual effects, which can't occur on melanotan-1!).

because of cost and people like the sexual sides from melanotan II.

i prefer to do what is considered safer...at higher cost.

There really is no convincing evidence that melanotan-1 is safer than melanotan II.  Some people have reacted badly to melanotan-1 as well as melanotan II.

melanotan-1 should not reach the brain and likely also the eyes, that is a major difference.

I am just starting to look into using.  I also have a allergy test coming up.  Any suggestion on waiting until after the test until I start or do you think it will matter.

Thanks

Now when i read this i find same effect for myself when i take my melanotan II dose. I had use over 100mg and just last 10mg seems to make this reaction. My melanotan II have been in freezer over half year (not mixed). Is it too long time?

kiss I'm very new to this and have been using Melanotan II, i have been injecting 1.0mg every other day as suggested at bed time to reduce any unwanted effects, I do suffer with a headache which seems to fade through the day, I have also notice that my adominal muscles ache as they would if i had over done it in the gym! other than that i have been fine.  But i had to find a supplier which i have done it came un mixed. I have mixed it myself the melanotan II must have been placed in the vial in a control inviroment as it was vacumed and as soon as i put needle in with Bac water it was drawn out, with slight pressure from me towards the end.it now sits in the fridge ready for use!  I since herd bad press about about Easytan Europe who i brought it from, and i'm concerned to use it! Has any one else used this company? i have found out that they are based in the uk!

I posted a picture on a bodybuilding site, whilst I was using melanotan II and someone commented on my white spots and said that I had tinea versicolor
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinea_versicolor)

I read up about it and, as stated in the wikipedia article, 2% to 8% of people "suffer" from it. I would suggest the white spots that people are referring to are quite likely to be of this cause. Many of you would not have noticed it before due to pale skin and those with ongoing exposure to warmer environment (ie. most of us are doing this in summer), are more likely to have issues with it.

I just went down to the pharmacist and they gave me some cream (same stuff used for athlete's foot). It's basically just a skin infection that will go away with consistent applications. Mine started to fade when I was using the cream but then summer went and I became pale again and didn't bother with continued application because they were barely noticeable again.

Anyway, people may be referring to something quite different but hopefully that will help someone out.

Here is a good picture of tinea versicolor; I had this on my back and it started working it's way up my chest and neck too:
