ivcater,

I did my first 1.5 cycles without ANY UV esposure at all.  It was the middle of winter and snowing.  I worked indoors as well.  after about 7 or so injections my skin was much darker all over.  I did not notice it nearly as much as others.  people kept asking me where I went on vacation so I know I was not all in my head.  Then I went on vacation to mexico.  Got darker than ever before with no burning.  UV makes the results mor dramatic but melanotan II will darken your skin without UV as well.

Hello all!

This "not turning red" troubles me a bit. Suppose you are a type 1-2 without any tan. Spending an hour at the beach would normally turn you red as hell, and even if you have a tan you would turn red to some degree. At least thatīs the way i react; always red before tanning.

With melanotan II in your system you will tan quicker/more and from what Iīve read here not turn red, seemingly regardless of UV exposure. Wouldnīt that trick you to stay longer in the sun and consequently take more damage to your skin?
Does melanotan II actually help build up melanin so fast that you have more or less total protection against sun burn, or does it somehow affect the "turning red" mechanism?

Just a thought.

Regards,
Klaus

OK, so now I just finished my 2nd cycle today. Will begin my third on sunday.

I had a sunburn on the first day of the 2nd cycle. And 2 hours of sun for the rest of this cycle. Couln't get much sun because it's cold and rainy these days.

I thought  I didn't tan a lot (I was beginning to think I wasn't responding to the treatment), because I was expecting a brown tan like a type 3 would normally get. But  when I saw people I didn't see since I began Melanotan, they all told me how I look tanned, and asked me what did I do to get so tan with  the little sun we had for the last weeks. Someone also told me my face was more tanned than a girl's face who came back from mexico 3 weeks ago. But my tan is more reddish. I guess it's because I have red hair, so lots of red melanin. I have a light tan line my lower back. My face and neck are the more visible. My arms and upper stomach are a bit more colored, but nothing impressive. Also, my tan apeared slowly after the sunburn, I mean less fast than a type 3, and much less intense. But still better than I ever had (I usually dont have any). But if I could get a bit sun every day (if the weather is good), I guess it could really help to darken. And of course I'm sure 3 cycles for a typeI is best, and an implant would be better for darker results. But you have to compare to yourself to appreciate the progress. You alsways stay a fair skin, only now you tan, but you'll never be like a tanned brown type 3 or 4.

Derek why are you such a =fucking= asshole? You always are bitter to people. You only ordered in large quanitities so you could get a lower price.
Someone in another thread said a cycle was 15 injections and you lashed out at them. You don't answer questions fully. You treat people like shit.
What is stuck up your ass?

Ease up.  Derek has done the best he can.  Honest as far as I can tell.  He had a fair amount of crap to deal with too.  Lighten up a bit.

Yeah, he's honest, which is nice, but when you act like a snobby bastard to people who are misinformed, that makes you look like a jerk. That's what Derek sounds like. A jerk. That, and he has the grammer that would resemble a 9 year old child. Its tough to understand him sometimes.

Hi people,

just began my third cycle. I notice a tan line on my legs where I got burned. So I will try to find a tanning bed near (I'm on a study trip in another town) and try tanning. I was reluctant to it because I always hated tanning beds and I like tanning in the sun, but it's going to be rainy again for a week. And I have confidence in Derek. Didn't like the way hesuggested it, but having speaking with him in the past (he was very nice on the phone) I guess (and hope) he didn't want to be mean.

I'll keep you updated and try to have before after pictures posted after the third cycle.

I'm in the middle of the 3rd cycle. I went to a tanning bed once for 10 minutes (which would normally turn me very red, btw). And because it's been hot and sunny here, I've tanned outside twice (20 minutes on each side of my body). I'm wondering if I should tan more time each session?

My skin is continuing to darken, but very very very very slowly (ok, I have red hair so usually it's only burning and lots of freckles) and I freckle a lot less.

Also, I've notice something strange. The results I have depends a lot on the light I use to look at my skin. When I look with natural sunlight, I look less white (although you can see my tanning lines, but the darker skin isn't that dark, but the face and neck people notice a light bronze tan). BUT, when I look with some artificial light , sometimes my tan seems very dark, like a darkly tanned type II, and my tan lines are very appearant. Anyone noticed this?

Also, is it normal it seems like it takes about a week for the improvement in the tan to devep after each tanning session?

i experienced the same,

all depends a lot from the lightening,
in natural light it does not look that dark, just a very good healthy color
but in special light or in the night i look like just coming back from the bahamas,
the more melanotan II you use, the darker you will look in natural sun too.

It sounds like you need more UV exposure as Derek so eloquently put it.  Go small periods but more often and you will see excellent results.  after you get a base sunlight will get you even darker than beds but wear spf 10 or better anyway.  You'll get just as dark and  It doesn't do you any good to burn!

I went to the beach last weekend. I have been taking melanotan II for two weeks before hand. I would usually burn with just 20-30 minutes of sun on the beach. I spent 2 hours laying about. I wore SPF 30 on my face and SPF 15 everywhere else. I did not burn. I tanned up nicely by the next day.

I am tan now for going on a week and do not go to a tanning salon unless its necessary. I can see how a tanning bed would be necessary in winter though.

Just to help compare my results, does anyone here tried melanotan II and has red hair (not auburn or blond with red color in it, I mean red hair), never even saw a glimpse of a tan on himself and freckles easily?

If yes, could you tell me about your experience or give me a link to your post?

Thx a lot.

Here's how I look after 3 cycles of melanotan II. I tanned twice during the first cycle, 3 times during the second and 4 times during the third. I must say that on this scanned photo I look paler than the original photo. Looks like the scanner put too much light on the picture.

Also, I had some sun a week after the end of my last cycle and got darker than this even without taking melanotan II.

I have red hair (they look more auburn when short, but they are red when long). Type I skin, always burn, freckles and never get something close to a color. I used to always look pale "milk white skin" with more freckles.

Here's a more representative pictures of what I look like, but still because of the scanning you can't see all the brown color in my face that you can see on the original.

Hi, Great pics Renaud but being of similar complection to you am still a bit worried about more freckling. In your opinion are you saying you now have a more even complection? Or is it just the same only darker?
Lookin goood !

thanks snowhite

I'd say I have the same complexion, only darker. I freckle less and my skin tone doesn't stay white, it now tans like a type II. So it's a great improvement in my opinion. Of course I would like to tan like a type III or IV, and have absolutly no freckles, but looks likes it would need gene therapy for this. Now, when I get sun, it not only "stay white and get more freckles" it's "tan slowly and get less freckles than I used too". Also, I guess that taking the stuff all year long and never stop between cycles would make you tan very slowly, but with a minimum of freckling, because of no sun damage.
